Delicious Banana Bread
Thursday, my auntie and mom came by--the WHOLE DAY!!--and helped me out with the babies. It was amazing. I even had a chance to bake some banana bread with the overripe fruit sitting on my counter. I started throwing ingredients together and then I realized...Where are the bananas in this recipe?
I have this wonderful recipe posted on my fridge, which I haven't used or even looked at for the longest time. It's actually a zucchini recipe. By this point I was already on a roll. Instead of going off in search of the family banana bread recipe I just went with it. I substituted the zucchini for bananas and made half of the sugar, brown sugar. And...It was amazing!!! One loaf went to the neighbors and one for us. It was gone within 24 hours.
One added bonus to having family over is the extra motivation to keep things clean. I did the baking dishes within minutes of having the loaves in the oven. It really is easier to just do it than to look at the dishes sitting in the sink, crusting, for a day.
