Jeanne's Quilt

This is Jeannie's Quilt--a dresden quilt I believe it's called.  I'm doing it for my mother-in-law and it's been years since she asked me to complete it.  Originally, I decided to stick with the theme in the 4 original blocks and hand applique each medallion to the backing.  I've done a lot of procrastination because of the hand sewing.

Finally, I forced myself to take this quilt out of the closet.  After much deliberation and more procrastination I decided to machine applique.   And TADA!  I've suddenly become obsessed with finishing this thing.  I've been working on it almost every night.  There are now 12 new blocks completed.
